Frosty started
his show career a few days after turning six months old by winning the
Minor Puppy Dog class at Darlington. He followed this up by winning a big
puppy dog class at South West Hound open show.
Both Frosty and Favour
spent their first winter having fun and learning to hunt the hedgerows with
their parents. Favour is a proven rabbit catcher but Frosty's talent
seemed to be in trench warfare against moles. Since then, he has proved adept at other country pursuits.
In 2007 Frosty won half a dozen championship show classes and started chasing the lure at BSFA meetings. At his second meeting he tied for Best of Breed with Favour and then, in a brotherly gesture, ceded the run off to her for Best in Field.
2008 brought new experiences: Frosty mated his first bitch, won his Stud Book number with a first in Limit at Blackpool and travelled to Belgium and Holland for FCI lure chasing meetings.
